High Commission For Germany (HICOG), 1946 - 1954

Materials in this series include articles, clippings, correspondence, guest lists and itineraries, information packets, diary entries, lists, magazines, memorabilia, newsletters and newspapers, pamphlets, photographs, programs, reports and many other items. Reports are arranged in two categories: general, which were written by a number of different authors on wide ranging topics, and reports written by the Reactions Analysis Staff of the Office of... Public Affairs, HICOG. The latter were reports of the reactions of the German people to topics introduced via surveys given by the Office of Public Affairs. The latter reports are arranged numerically within the chronological years 1949-1953. The speeches of John J. McCloy are also arranged chronologically.
