Description
Records include Counselor Drew's notes, correspondence, depositions, agreement drafts, and brief of argument of the College's writ of trover against The International Paper Company. The records also include a compilation of title abstracts to the "wild lands" of the Connecticut River Lumber Company. Irving W. Drew represented Dartmouth College in its case against the International Paper Company for willful trespass. In 1904 the court awarded $49,102 in damages. George Van Dyke assigned the lease to the Androscoggin Timber Supply Company which in turn assigned the lease to Dartmouth College.
