Description

Three-page letter from Maris Bryant Pierce with the Seneca Nation near Buffalo to Loren Thayer in Hanover, New Hampshire, telling him that he is in councul for four weeks with the Senecas. Great debate over amendements to the treaty. The Chiefs do not assent. Writer cannot return to Hanover until Council is closed. Delivered address in Buffalo which he is sending to Thayer, in pamphlet form.
