Description

Three-page letter from William Frederick Wallis in Hanover to Lewis Sawyer in Berlin, Massachusetts, telling him that he thinks everything connected with Dartmouth is good, Great political excitement in Maine. Talks about his views regarding the coming Prsidential election and informs Sawyer that he has joined the College Abolition Society. A negro, Thomas Paul, admitted as student. Emerson's oration at Commencement too deep.
