Description
The collection contains Frederick Maurer's typescript of a narrative of his experiences on board the "Belvedere" during its two-year (1911-1912) whaling voyage from San Francisco to the Chukchi and Beaufort Seas, entitled "Adventures on an Arctic Whaler." Photocopies of newspaper clippings and essays by Harriette M. Collins are also included.
