Description

The collection contains the typescripts of four books by Lewis Mumford, "Sticks and Stones" (1924), "Culture of Cities" (1938), "Faith for Living" (1940), and "Arts and Technics (1952), as well as the typescript of a lecture entitled "Ethical Foundations of World Order," delivered as part of a Great Issues course in 1947. A letter relating to his biography of Herman Melville is also included.
