This collection contains the diaries of Richard Emerson Lane from 1837 to 1840, including time spent at Dartmouth College. Lane wrote sporadically throughout this period on a wide variety of topics, including prayers, descriptions of the scenery and poems. Most of the text concerns his spiritual life and details his resolutions for pious behavior.
