Description

The papers of Ralph Butterfield contain his autobiography and journal (1850-1892), describing student life at Phillips Exeter Academy, Andover, Massachusetts, and at Dartmouth College, Hanover, New Hampshire as well as his life in Mississippi during the Civil War, and in Kansas City, Missouri, as a merchant and realtor from 1869 to 1892. Account books, showing investments, cash flow, and some business accounts (1869-1892) are also included.
