William Waterman papers
Description
The papers of William R. Waterman contain correspondence, articles, manuscripts, clippings, course materials and financial papers related to his career as a writer and instructor of history. Includes his research notes and manuscripts for his work on Mills Olcott, Jedidiah Morse, New Hampshire and Vermont history. Of note are his diaries which he kept intermittently from 1911-1976 which together with his financial records chronicle life in Hanover, New Hampshire and the difficulties confronting a young professor here during the 1920s and 1930s.
