Description

The collection contains Knowlton’s letter envelopes and postcards to his mother, Adeline Whitney Knowlton, mostly from his time at Worcester Academy and Dartmouth College (1912 to 1917). Topics covered include Deutscher Verein (German Club), Circle Français (French Club), leisure activities at Dartmouth, administrative decisions made by the College, President Nichol's departure, debate tournaments, football games, Delta Alpha, Dartmouth Night and reading literary works.
