Description
The papers of Frank Carleton Doan contain correspondence, handwritten sermons, accompanied by abbreviated "pulpit notes," and other writings, brochures, pamphlets, clippings and journals. The material documents his pacifism during World War I, and his preaching. Also included are papers relating to his tenure at Meadville Theological Seminary and letters of condolence to Isabel Doan on his death.
