Description

The papers of John G. Gazley contain articles, correspondence, clippings, notes, conference and course materials, lecture outlines, galley proofs and page proofs of "The Life of Arthur Young." The material documents Gazley's career as a professor of history at Dartmouth College. Of note are several letters from Ernest Martin Hopkins dating from the Second World War clearly expressing Hopkins' philosophy on liberal education and Dartmouth's role in providing it to students.
