The collection contains correspondence, meeting agenda, memoranda, reports, policies, studies, clippings and publications generated by, or used as background research for, the Public Affairs Group, documenting the Group's function overseeing communications policies for the College. Areas covered include town-gown relations, The Dartmouth Review, Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center, and areas of student life. Also documented is the creation and role of the publication Dartmouth Life. The committee's files were compiled and maintained by Cary P. Clark as Chair; Clark also served as College Counsel and Director of External Relations.
