Abstract
John Hale Chipman, was born on November 15th, 1896 in West Somerville, Massachusetts. He enrolled at Dartmouth in 1915 and enlisted in the US army in 1917. The papers consist of diary entries and a photo album/scrapbook from his WWI service in France and Italy.
