Description

The papers of Millett G. Morgan contain academic papers, correspondence, notes, invoices, calculations, measurements, photographs, newspaper clippings, reports, resolutions, agendas, minutes, memos, data sheets, maps, brochures, contracts, disclosures, charts, ledgers, diagrams, telegrams, insurance forms, proposals, station manuals, transparencies, student assignments, student papers, exams, rosters, lecture notes, itineraries, programs, receipts, tickets and invitations. The papers document Morgan's tenure as a Professor in the Thayer School of Engineering. Of Note is Morgan's work with the International Scientific Radio Union (URSI) and research on naturally occurring radio waves called “whistlers” as well as the planning for the new science center at Dartmouth in 1969. Additional materials on the Thayer school administration and funding proposals as well as PhD proposals and memoranda related to some of Dartmouth's science programs round out the collection.
