Description

The papers of the Wilcox family of Orford, New Hampshire contain correspondence related to Leonard Wilcox and other members of the Wilcox family, including his son George Wilcox, his first wife Almira Morey Wilcox, his second wife Mary Mann Wilcox, Nathaniel Mann, Mary's father and Samuel Morey, Almira's father. Of note is the correspondence between Joel Mann and Mary Mann Wilcox with reference to Washington Gladden letters describing Niagara Falls. Wills and deeds of the family, including the will of Leonard Wilcox referring to the disposition of the property of Samuel Morey, and writings by George Wilcox are also included.
