Description

The papers of Donella H. Meadows contain manuscripts of her writings and publications including "The Limits to Growth" and "Beyond the Limits," as well as notebooks, correspondence, newspaper clippings, photographs, negatives, slides, materials related to her teaching in the Environmental Studies department at Dartmouth College, her involvement with the "Club of Rome" and the Sustainability Institute. The collection also contains transcripts, correspondence and notebooks related to the "State of the World" television program, "Race to Save the Planet" and manuscripts of the textbook "A Sustainable World: An Introduction to Environmental Systems". Additionally, clippings of her newspaper column "The Global Citizen" and her "Dear Folks" newsletter are included. The papers round out with a collection of Meadows' personal papers including letters and photographs documenting early education, personal relationships and travel.
