Description
Letter from Thomas White Thompson in Washington to Daniel Webster in Boscawen, telling him that schemes restrictive of commerce with Great Britain are the only plans of defense contemplated in the House. Duncan McFarland (!) has just been admitted to a seat. The editor of "Aurora" is not in Washington but Joel Barlow and Alexander Wolcott are.
