Description

Two-page letter from Peter Thacher in Boston to Daniel Webster, telling him that he has instituted a suit in the judgment Abbott v. Swett. Capt. Swett professed himself ignorant of the cause of the action and denied that he owed Abbott such a sum. Wants Webstr to forward the necessary papers. He was unable to procure andy deposition from Dr. Ingalls. He read Webster's speech with great pleasure.
