McIntosh and Otis, literary agency. The collection consists of correspondence, clippings, financial records and literary agreements related to the publication of author Erskine Caldwell.

Edwin T. Arnold, professor of English. Born 1947. Contains typescripts, proofs, as well as correspondence regarding "Conversations with Erskine Caldwell" and "Erskine Caldwell Reconsidered".

Virginia Moffett Caldwell, b.1919. Wife of author Erskine Caldwell. Contains correspondence, photographs, writings, and financial documents chronicling her life with the author. Family correspondence, including letters from her first husband's family, the Fletchers, are also included.

Erskine Caldwell (1903-1987), author. Consists of professional and personal correspondence, typescripts of Caldwell's works, photographs, diaries, financial and legal documents, news clippings, scrapbooks, interviews, publications and publicity material related to his work.

Harvey Klevar papers on Erskine Caldwell biography. The collection contains papers relating to Klevar's study of the life and career of Erskine Caldwell which was published in 1993. Includes research notes, tapes of interviews with Caldwell and others, notes on the tapes, correspondence with Caldwell, members of the Caldwell family, and friends and colleagues, and a draft of the original manuscript of the biography, "Erskine Caldwell: a biography."

Edward C. Lathem (1926-2009), dean of Dartmouth College Library. Contains correspondence and subject files.

Llewelyn P. Howell, professor of medicine. Consist of letters from Virginia Caldwell to L.P. and Edna Howell. Llewelyn was Erskine Caldwell's doctor at the Mayo Clinic.
