Letter from Nathan Smith in Hartford, C.T., to Mills Olcott in Hanover, N.H. Smith relates that Mrs. Smith (presumably Sarah Chase Hall Smith, his wife) has written to him with concern about their son, Solon. Smith speculates about the causes of Solon's distress and asks Olcott to visit his family to provide advice before Smith arrives home. A brief discussion of Olcott's bank order opens the letter. A transcription of the letter is included.
