Description

Contains family correspondence, articles, newspaper clippings, legal and financial documents, diaries and appointment books, brochures and programs, annotated magazines and newspapers, school diplomas and memorabilia documenting Budd Schulberg’s relationship with his family and education at Los Angeles High School, Deerfield Academy and Dartmouth College. Family correspondence is with Schulberg’s sister Sonya, brother Stuart, wife Geraldine Brooks, father B.P. Schulberg, mother Adeline Schulberg and other members of his family. Additionally, the series details his early life and travels, including the years he spent in Mexico, and the time he served in the US Army as part of John Ford’s documentary unit during WWII. This series also contains Nazi paraphernalia Schulberg acquired during the war and legal documents for his suit against Random House.
