Contains handwritten essays, speeches, a family genealogy, stories and poems by Henry B. Atherton, some composed while a student at Dartmouth College. Printed writings by Atherton as well as unidentified manuscripts are also included. Of note is a story entitled "My Brother Jonathan" by David Atherton.
