Description
The paper of Luther Townsend contain personal and professional correspondence, as well as some lectures or sermons and essays, including letters written to him by his mother and brother while he was a student at Dartmouth College. The collection also contains letters written to him by his friend, T. E. Ranney, who attended Middlebury College and letters written to him after he became a minister. Some letters refer to his views on abolition of slavery.
