Description
Two-page letter from Benjamin Bellows Jr. to Oliver Ashley in Claremont, New Hampshire informing him that the Committee of Safety has requested him to send militia to Ticonderoga. Bellows asks Ashley yo raise as many as possible in his district and send the to No. 4. If Ashley cannot get men to enlist for three years, take some for eight months if the town will provide substitutes.
