Description
The records of Bromer Booksellers contain correspondence, catalogues, manuscripts, dummy books, samples of paper, cloth and leather for bindings, galley and page proofs, illustrations, pamphlets, photographs and negatives, extra sheets of pages and articles. Examples of fine printing from such presses as Henry Morris' Bird and Bull Press, Ashendene hand press at the Bridwell Library of Southern Methodist University, Firefly Press, Rara Avis Press, Chamberlain Press and Stinehour Press are also included. Primarily known for miniature books, the collection also includes material related to the non-miniature book "The Mystique of Vellum" which was published in 1984. (Type, originally included was given to the Book Arts Workshop in Baker Library)
