A.W. Greely (1844-1935), polar explorer and army officer. Consist of papers related to his career as a Polar explorer, including materials related to the Lady Franklin Expedition.

Adrian O. Mather's Civil War papers include a receipt for $ 300.00 commutation fee, a letter dated 1872 regarding proposed state bill to refund commutation fees to draftees, as well as a notice that E.C. Mather was wounded near Petersburg and is currently at New Orleans.

Affidavit of Charles Marsh of receipt of a letter from William Allen. Oath witnessed and signed by Mills Olcott.

Four-page affidavit of surviving officers of the ship "Snow Mary" describing their voyage from Virginia to Ireland with a load of rum, tobacco and lumber. The ship was wrecked off the coast of Donegal and the affidavit describes the loss of life and cargo.

Four-page letter from A.G. Hasard in New York to Josiah Hale, telling him that he has returned from Baltimore yesterday where he, as a delegate at large, cast 53 votes for Daniel Webster. The convention not the country failed Webster. Mr. Tappan and Thomas Hale have received the writer coldly.

The oral history interview of Agnar Pytte is comprised of audiocassette recordings and an indexed transcript of the recordings. The interview was conducted by Daniel Daily on May 15, 2002. The entire interview runs for approximately 2 hours and covers his teaching and administrative career at Dartmouth, serving under Presidents Dickey, Kemeny and McLaughlin.
