Isaac Walker diary
Civial War diary of Isaac Walker (Dartmouth class of 1863). Walker saw action at Harpers Ferry, writing on September 14th about being one of 1500 men to escape the surrounding confederate army.

Dr. Alfred Bielschowsky, opthamologist, born 1871 and died 1940. Contains correspondence, diaries and notes, photographs, a report card, an MD exam certificate, a recommendation letter, an autobiographical sketch, obituaries and reviews, Kaufman’s dissertation on Dr. Bielchowsky, and materials from a 1968 Bielschowsky Commemorative Congress. They document various events from Dr. Bielschowsky’s lifetime as an opthamologist in Germany and Hanover, New Hampshire.

Recipes and Cases in the Practice of Physic and Surgery
Includes descriptions of remedies, medical and household, regularly prescribed by Dr. Henry Fisher, as well as his treatment of, and surgical operations on many named patients and himself. It also includes recipes for non-medical household items such as ink and colored paint, first dated entry 1829, last dated entry Jan. 12, 1844, content shows Dr. Fisher’s particular indebtedness to noted New Hampshire surgeon Dr. Amos Twitchell (1781-1850).

Robert E. Peary, South Harpswell, ME to Dr. George F. Kunz, [New York], Letter
Letter to Dr. George F. Kunz. Peary replies to a request that the flag he rose at the North Pole be used in a Parade float in New York City. Peary declines use of the flag, but offers another to be used. Peary also recommends his friend and artist Albert Operti to assist with any preparations of the float.
The letter is accompanied by a note to Kunz from F.A. Lucas (mentioned in Peary's letter) stating that he has returned the letter to Kunz per his request.
